Dear editor,
Is it not rather hypocritical of the Anglican Church to pray for those affected by swine flu and other variations of deadly viral infections, yet continue to use the communal cup during holy eucharist?
Other churches, for the most part, have switched to individual cups (glass or paper) long ago.
What is holding us back? The Lord said simply to remember Him every time we eat the bread and wine. I am sure he would not want us to pass on infections to our fellow parishioners.
