Thanks for sharing! I have been reflecting , listening , praying this week as a fellow Human Being to Indigeneous peoples. I have been listening since the stories started to come out in the 80s or 90s including the horrors in Anglican . , Catholic, United & other church run schools. In the late 90s ,As a childcare worker & youth worker I worked with Indigeneous children & youth and their families. Some family members were residential school survivours & they shared their stories! I listened. I went to Pow Wows with them & joined in social danced. I have been to Pow Wows in B.C. in Greater Vancouver & the Okanagan as well as the Talking Stick Festival in downtown. Vancouver B.C ! I listened to the stories ! I have had friends who are indigeneous ! 1 family at my church were from Haida Gwaii. Not seen them since pandemic started. At a Thanksgiving lunch several years ago I asked the children to give a Haida Gwaii Blessing or prayer. I have been trying to reconcile with Indigeneous people since the 90s or before including through Human Friendship. I hope the Evil people who hurt & killed indigeneous children & youth & the ancestors who would have followed as well as caused intergenerational pain for residential survivours & their families & communities are prosecuted if they are alive.

Archbishop Mark
Your words carry the prophetic sting of Truth. Thank you. !
We are indeed the colonial church and repentance: personal and corporate needs cleansing tears to bring structural and governance change from our bended knees. Your insight is deep and the light of God shines through. I feel parallized before the vastness of the task and sick at heart in all I am awakenings to. I will begin on my knees. Please keep writing with your prophetic pen and heart.
Thank you Amen
