It is a pity that the people who claim to be Christian are the least friendly towards " outsiders " forgetting they were much later historically in coming to the faith. This ignorance leads to a sense of superiority ,so instead of being a welcoming Church it tends to be a forbidding atmosphere. The Clergy are always welcoming but not all members are resulting in alienation. Unfortunately also the people outside the Church are also the same resulting in birds of the same feathers flocking together. It is a universal human fault & Christians have to try get beyond it.
