Archdeacon celebrates 70 years

Archdeacon Robert Dann recently celebrated the 70th anniversary of his ordination at St. Aidan’s Church in London, Ont.

Born in 1917, he was first ordained as a deacon at Christ Church Fredericton in New Brunswick. He served the parishes of Eldon on the Restigouche River, Wilmot, Wicklow and Peel before going to Trinity Church in St. John, N.B. In 1960, he moved to St. Paul’s, Bloor Street in Toronto, where he served until his retirement in 1985.

Archdeacon Dann served on the board of the diocese of the Arctic for 12 years. After his retirement, he and his wife, Suzie, moved to London, Ont., where he assisted at churches in the diocese of Huron.
