The total number of refugees sponsored since 1999 by parishes in the diocese of Niagara has reached 70, including 44 children. They came from Kosovo, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Colombia. Parishes helped them get settled and learn about life in Canada.
